About the job Description Our partner is proud to be part of one of the largest group of cable producers in Europe, being involved in power manufacturing, telecommunications and submarine cables. It stands out as a pioneering company, producing high quality and technologically advanced products. Their expertise lies in providing integrated turnkey projects, specializing in submarine cable interconnections, among other things. As a result of their continuous growth, the company is looking for a Lab Engineer. Mission: As a key person responsible for the proper function of the plant's advanced laboratory, your role will involve planning and supervising a team of 4-5 production workers and their team leader as well as lab technicians to ensure that all necessary quality tests and control points of the production process are conducted on schedule. In addition, you will identify areas where improvements can be made, striving for continuous improvement in the existing processes, equipment, and the training of the lab team. Your main focus will be on ensuring the laboratory's efficiency, facilitating ongoing improvements, and addressing any emergency issues that may arise. You will be responsible for: Supervise, coordinate and perform electrical high voltage tests & measurements via the technicians Plan, prioritise & oversee the laboratory operating schedule to ensure maximum performance and minimum delays Resolve emerging problems/deficiencies and address open technical issues Train and develop laboratory personnel Requirements University Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably with focus on the Electrical Energy Sector). Please note that people with higher education of Technical Institutes (i.e. TEI) cannot be employed in this position About three years of experience either in R&D, QC, production or maintenance as an electrical engineer Fluency in both written and spoken English and Greek Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills, a team-oriented person Excellent Planning and Organisational skills Results-oriented with a gentle approach towards people Proactive and dedicated to detail Benefits Competitive Compensation and Benefits package: A Competitive Salary subject to the person's experience in similar positions BONUS: 11% salary of annual salary.
